Labels for eco-leather products are far more than mere tags. They are the first thing customers notice when unboxing backpacks, handbags or sneakers. They deliver a tactile cue of quality, act as the brand’s visual identity mark, and serve as legal certification of material origin. In 2024, as consumers increasingly examine labels to verify material composition, durability and compliance with claimed environmental standards, selecting the appropriate labeling solution has become an operational necessity rather than an optional extra.

Why Standard Labels Fail on Eco-Leather
We regularly receive inquiries from brands: “Why does our fabric label peel off after three weeks? Why does heat transfer printing on eco-leather crack when bent? Why won’t hook-and-loop tape adhere to smooth surfaces?” The answer is straightforward: eco-leather is neither genuine leather nor textile. It is a polymer composite featuring a dense, non-porous protective finish that comes in glossy or matte variants. Standard adhesives lose their bond over time. Fabric labels wear out faster than the base material itself. Cheap plastic hang tags clash with the eco-friendly aesthetic of sustainable goods.
Our engineers completed 17 rounds of testing using eco-leather samples supplied by 9 manufacturers, covering polyurethane-coated PU materials, PVC alternatives, and corn starch-based bio eco-leather. The tests revealed that reliable bonding requires three criteria to be satisfied at once: strong adhesion to hydrophobic surfaces, resistance to repeated flexing deformation cycles, and compatibility with the temperature and pressure applied during final assembly. No universal all-purpose label passed all three assessments. The solution lies in custom-engineered specialized labeling products.

How We Solve the Problem: Three Proven Solutions
With 15 years of cooperation with brands from the EU and CIS countries, we have developed three mature and practical labeling solutions for eco-leather products, each with well-defined applicable scenarios:
Thermoadhesive labels based on acrylic dispersion — Ideal for flat surfaces (bag backs, inner pockets). The adhesive layer activates at 135–145 °C under 3–4 bar pressure. Sewing is unnecessary, and the labels will not peel off in temperatures ranging from -20 °C to +60 °C. Tested on 23 types of eco-leather, including soft TPU variants.
Tags with heavy-duty Velcro®-style adhesive fastener (320 g/m² density) — Designed for removable marking. We exclusively use loop tape with a micro-textured surface that delivers reliable grip even on glossy finishes. The replaceable patch can be swapped out without tools — a key advantage for seasonal collections.
Multi-layer cardboard hang tags with transparent PET sleeves — Intended for exterior branding. The rigid core is made of 300 g/m² coated cardboard, while the airtight sleeve safeguards printed graphics against scratches and moisture. Attached via two eyelets using cord or metal rings, with zero direct contact against the eco-leather surface.
We offer no one-size-fits-all products. Every order undergoes preliminary testing using your actual material samples. Instead of just sending design drafts, we deliver physical prototypes that have passed 50 bending cycles and a 72-hour humidity exposure test at 85% relative humidity.

What Makes Us a Trusted Partner — Proven by Results, Not Empty Promises
Dongguan Jingrui Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Ltd. has specialized in eco-leather labeling since 2012, long before the term “sustainable fashion” became standard in technical specifications. Our strengths are validated by real-world application:
Full in-house production cycle—We cover every stage from label design to final application onto finished goods. Our facilities include an independent lamination line, heat transfer printing equipment with temperature precision of ±1 °C, and an adhesion testing laboratory.
Flexible order volumes with uncompromised quality:Orders starting at just 50 units receive the same strict quality inspections as bulk runs of 50,000 pieces. There is no minimum order quantity for custom tailored solutions.
Logistics aligned with your delivery deadlines:Our warehouse in Lingnan, Guangdong has been operational since 2008. Sea freight shipments to Russia take 12–18 days, while air freight takes only 5–7 days. We prepare all documentation fully compliant with EAEU regulatory standards.
We do not merely sell labels. We help brands avoid two costly common pitfalls: first, labeling that looks cheaper than the product itself; second, returned merchandise caused by peeling tags, even when the main product is flawless.

Next Step Is Yours
If you are launching a new eco-leather product line or looking to upgrade your current labeling solutions, take one simple first step: send us a sample of your material and photos of where the label will be attached. We will develop three fastening options complete with technical specifications, lead times and pricing — with no purchase obligation whatsoever. You can view real case studies on our website: how heat-seal labels remain intact on bio-based eco-leather bags after six months of regular use, how replaceable patches withstand 200 removal-and-replacement cycles, and how multi-layer hang tags stay fully legible after machine washing.
A label for eco-leather merchandise is far more than a finishing touch. It is part of your brand’s commitment to customers — and it must perform as reliably as the eco-leather material itself.
